On Tuesday, 9 February FC Shakhtar website visitors will have an opportunity to take part in online conference with the Club legend, Yuriy Degteryov.

There is no need of extra introduction, as the Club-trained, Yuriy Degteryov joined the squad in 1967, and since that he had been playing for Shakhtar till his playing career was over. Yuriy Degteryov secured USSR Championship Runner-up titles for Shakhtar in 1975, 1979 and USSR Cup in 1980. In 1977 he was awarded the Best Goalkeeper of the USSR, according to Ogonyok magazine. Degteryov was spotted to be among 33 best football players of the USSR for five times. He is a member of Lyev Yashyn’s symbolic club (148 games; 0 conceded goals).

In general, Yuriy Degteryov played 378 games for Shakhtar. He also was capped for USSR. From 1996 to 1999 he joined FC Shakhtar as a goalkeeping coach for the first team.
