Having defeated Metalurh Donetsk in a very challenging clash, Hirnyky leveled the points with Dynamo, Kyiv. By the way, the Kyiv team still have a match in reserve (see League Table). 

5 mins: Darijo Srna tried Metalurh goalkeeper’s vigilance. Having received a well-placed pass from Adriano on the left flank Hirnyky’s captain shot from under defender’s feet - Disljenkovic fixed the ball. 

8 mins: An excellent goal scoring opportunity missed by Gladkyy. Adriano was yet again the one to assist finding the Ukrainian forward in rival’s penalty box. Oleksandr decided to send a one-touch shot, but missed the ball flying from killing position. 

12 mins: The first goal-scoring moment at Shakhtar’s net: Kingsley shot an aerial pass from the left flank on Mguni who shot a short-range kick after a challenge with Kobin and missed. 

18 mins: Dashing Lazic made a fully-blown left-footed kick overtaking Fernandinho and Hübschman, but Serbian halfback’s precision let him down. 

29 mins: Ilsinho earned a direct free kick from a distance of something like 25 meters from Metalurh goal. Fernandinho shot from set piece position, dashing a corner through defensive wall farther from Disljenkovic, but Metalurh goalkeeper fixed the ball. 

37 mins: Rakytskyy took a strong goal-aimed shot from a 30 meters range after overtaking a rival – the ball whizzed over the bar. 

42 mins: The first booking in the match was earned by Hirnyky’s Kobin who fouled on Mario Sergio and got booked by Eugen Gerenda. 

43 mins: Srna moved to the centre from the right flank and made a skillful kick with the outside of the boot into penalty box. The ball bounced on Fernandinho and hit a goalpost.

45 mins: Shakhtar managed to score a goal on the last min of the halftime – 0-1. Fernandinho assisted Kobin in the attack who sent a shot into Metalurh penalty box. Gladkyy took the ball, and Oleksandr skillfully sent a corner shot farther from Disljenkovic with his left foot. 

56 mins: Metalurhs earned a corner on the left flank. Checher almost reached the ball after being assisted by Mario Sergio from penalty mark. 

61 mins: The hosts considerably spurred their diligence after the break. Pyatov literally took the ball off Mguni’s head after an aerial pass by Mario Sergio from the midfield area. 

  65 mins: Gladkyy got booked by the referee for having stepped on Mario Sergio’s foot while tackling him down.

70 mins: Fernandinho softly kicked the ball into Metalurh penalty box passing it on Gladkyy. Intercepting Disljenkovic outstripped attacking Hirnyky by a fracture of a second. 

71 mins: Mircea Lucescu made the first substitution. Douglas Costa entered instead of Ilsinho and had been immediately booked for a delay.

74 mins: Yankov sent the ball without working up the shot from the penalty line – Pyatov jumped but failed to catch the ball and Hirnyky’s goal was saved by goalpost. 

77 mins: The second replacement in Hirnyky’s lineups: Jadson entered instead of Oleksandr Gladkyy. 

84 mins: A rare derby play has no sending off. Gerenda sent off Luiz Adriano for unsporting behavior during the last mins of the match leaving Hirnyky outnumbered. 

87 mins: The last substitution was made by Hirnyky’s coach: Igor Duljaj was replaced by Mariusz Lewandowski. 

90+1 mins: The  Metalurhs missed the last opportunity to level the score. Godin attempted a direct kick from penalty box sending the ball that missed the goal by several inches. 

90+2 mins: The Orange and Blacks’ goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov earned a booking for delay.

90+3 mins: The whistle blown by Eugen Gerenda announced Hirnyky’s victory in Donetsk derby.
