On 11 March Shakhtar players posed for traditional squad photo shoot. This event is very important for the team, as the team supporters will have a chance to see Hirnyky on posters, big-boards, various printing items, etc. 

  It is a well established tradition that team photo shoot is taken once in six months. And each time there is something new to it. For example, today’s event differed from the previous ones. For one, the first photograph displayed arena at Hirnyky’s training camp for the first time. As long as we can remember, early spring with its unpredictable weather was making organizers of the shooting find new ways. For a couple of times Hirnyky even had to rent Donetsk Drama Theatre. But now thanks to Shakhtar having their own indoor arena such organizing problems are no longer topical. 

  So the head coach with his men arrived at the appointed time. Well before the team’s arrival in the center of the artificial field there were constructed stands to form three rows. To avoid too much hustle, they had been marked with the numbers of players. This means, that when the player stepped to the stand. There happened a funny story connected with this moment. Cheerful as usual, Darjio Srna suddenly claimed that there was not his stand. ‘Why, there is No 33’, - couldn’t understand his point the team mates. 

- Nope, I changed my number to be 10 like Maradona’s! – the captain made everybody laugh.

All of the photo shooting participants were in an excellent mood. While the equipment was being tuned, everyone was exchanging jokes. There was also room for discussing political views. In particular, everyone on the squad was glad that Rail Safiulin was appointed a Minister for Family, Youth and Sports. It is natural that the President of Professional Football League is well known and respected for his work in Shakhtar.

Mircea Lucescu assigned 10 minutes for taking photographs, and it was more enough. To tell the whole truth, the entire process took no longer than 3 minutes, and after that the players, cheerful and peppy, rushed to their training ground. There is no time to waste, with a clash with Metalist being close at hand.
