Shakhtar have signed Nery Alberto Castillo
On 31 July FC Shakhtar Donetsk signed a 5-year contract worth €20m with one of the Europe's most promising half-backs, Nery Alberto Castillo. The 23-year-old Mexican's contract comes into force on 1 August, 2007. Nery moves to Shakhtar from the Greek side Olympiacos.
Nery Alberto Castillo was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, on 13 June, 1984. He is 170 cm tall and weighs 61 kg. Most of his playing career he spent at Olympiacos (7 seasons). His playing position is a half-back, although he often played as a striker.
