After the match against Basel it was quite difficult to play a league game. Karpat have character, its obvious. It wasn’t an easy win, I confess. We are not satisfied with our play in the first half. But after the break we managed to change the tactics and score a winning goal. We had more opportunities but unfortunately failed to take them. What matters is that we won.

Volodymyr Yezerskyy:

Our task was to pick the three points. Karpaty are a serious and dangerous outfit, and they had certainly been intending to win the game. Sometimes it is very difficult to play a domestic league match after a successful match in the Champions League. This match wasn’t an acception.

This is why you could score for so long?

As to my mind, had we scored a bit earlier, Karpaty would have started to charge our gaol with all their might. Apart from that goal, we had plenty of further opportunities to score.

Oleksiy Gai:

We had expected a hard match and we got tit. The score could have been much bigger. We had many chances to score but, alas, missed all the opportunities. Nevertheless, we won and we are happy about it.

What prevented you from playing better in the firsat half?

We changed tactics in the second half, started to play with two forwards and we were winning all the individual duels. It helped us to achieve the result.
