Stakhtar has been divided into groups

On July 4 coaches and players of Shakhtar Donetsk had a usual Saturday. The training camp follows its own laws and calendars. There are no days off.
In the morning at once after breakfast Mircea Lucescu gathered the team for an organizing meeting. The head coach paid attention to the program by which Shakhtar will prepare for the season. In particular it was said that it is quite difficult to build a scheme of loads for the team, because the players started training at different time, so they are on different levels of functional readiness.
And now at the training camp in Interlaken there are thirty performers that also complicates the task. Nevertheless the coaching staff will do everything in order that each footballer could get enough training practice. It was said that the first three test matches with Aarau, Young Boys and Basel will be of one time or 50-60 minutes. Lucescu will try to give maximum number of players a chance to play the whole or almost whole match in one or two last games (it depends on the result of negotiations with potential rivals).
The first training was carried out by Shakhtar in its full staff except Volodymyr Yezerskyy and Nery Castillo who train by an individual schedule. After general warming-up and racing exercises Mircea Lucescu began working with back players, and Olexandr Spiridon supervised training of forwards and attacking halfbacks.
In the afternoon the team will be divided into two parts, one of them will get on a bus at 16:45 at Ukraine time and go to Aarau to face the local team of the same name (5th place in Swiss Super League). The beginning of the match and online broadcasting on our site is at 19:00.
The other part of players (those who started training later than others, mostly Ukraine team players) remains in Interlaken. They will improve their functional level under care of Carlo Nikolini.
