U16. Shakhtar vs Dnipro: match report

On 5 July, Shakhtar U16 played in the third-place match of the DUFL versus Dnipro.

Straight from the start, the Pitmen took control of the game, forcing Dnipro to sit in defence. Such initiative from Gennadiy Zubov’s charges quickly gave the expected result. On 18 minutes, Kuzmenko opened the scoring with an accurate shot. After conceding a goal, Dnipro rushed forward, creating dangerous chances. Dnipro’s corner-kick  which led to a goal, became decisive. In the final minute of the match, Dnipro organised a quick attacking move to score second goal, winning goal.

- Overall, I can say that despite the result we played well, dominated, had advantage, - Shakhtar U16 head coach Gennadiy Zubov has commented. – We conceded an unnecessary first goal following an error from a goalkeeper. Upon returning, we will analyze the match, watch our errors, and will work on improvement.
