(DUFL) Shakhtar 6-0 Volyn

In the opening match of the final part of the DUFL, 28 June, Shakhtar U-16 faced Volyn.

The Pitmen, so to say, traditionally, presented the fans with goals galore. The Pitmen managed to fully materialise their dominance. First, Kravchuk opened the scoring on 25 minutes. The Pitmen managed to increase their lead through a penalty kick converted by Vakulenko, but the ball flew over the crossbar. However, in the end of the first half, Kravchuk netted a goal on the stroke of the first half. In the second half of the game, Volyn conceded four goals. Energetic Vakulenko scored a hat trick, before Bondar wrapped the game up on 72 minutes.

- The boys were getting worried, because the start of the final part in always nervousness, - Shakhtar U-16 head coach Gennadiy Zubov has reflected on the game. – We fully dominated proceedings, but in some episodes we created problems for ourselves due to not being confident in ourselves. But we still controlled the game. We orchestrated fast counterattacks, made overlaps, made ourselves available. Overall, the team tried their best. We thanked the players for the game.
