U21. Shakhtar vs Volyn: preview
In the U21 Ukrainian League Matchday 15 game, Shakhtar are to play Lutsk-based Volyn away. We bring you the match preview below.

Shakhtar reserve team remain to be the league leaders, having scored 31 points in 13 matches. Volyn sit in the 11th spot in the table with 11 points. The Lutsk side rarely rise to the top ten, however in the last two games they have enjoyed an unbeaten run after defeating the underdogs Hoverla 2-0 and drawing with Vorskla 2-2. Before that, the reserve team of Volyn suffered four defeats in a row with an aggregate score of 0-14. As for Lutsk’s away games, the only victory was a surprise, because it was claimed in Odesa against Chornomorets (1-0), who are in the leading group.
Before the match
Before leaving for a two-week break, the team of Miguel Cardoso unexpectedly lost in Oleksandriya (0-2), suffering their second defeat of the season. This allowed the pursuers - Dnipro and Dynamo - to reduce the table gaps with the Pitmen to one and two points respectively. At the home pitch in Schaslyve, Shakhtar U21 received the opponents for the last time on October 2, after which the team had a series of three away matches. In six matches of the season at the stadium of Knyazha Arena, the Donetsk team claimed five wins and tied once.
In the match against Volyn, one Shakhtar defender Mykyta Bezuglyi will be missing due to suspension in the MD 13 game against Zorya U21. During the league break,Bezuglyi,as well as the U21 league top scorer Andriy Boryachuk (15 goals) took part in the Turkish training camp with the first team.

In the first round match in Lutsk, Shakhtar U21 defeated Volyn 2-0. Crucial was the two-minute interval in the middle of the second half, when Sergiy Gryn initially earned a penalty (converted by Boryachuk), and in the following attacking move Gryn himself beat the keeper in a one-on-one situation. Last season, the Pitmen’s advantage over Lutsk was significant: in two games the charges of Miguel Cardoso notched up 13 goals against Volyn (winning 6-3 in Poltava and 7-1 in Lutsk).
The U21 league top scorer Andriy Boryachuk amassed 15 goals in 13 games. At the same time, just the same number of goals was scored by Volyn reserves as a team. And the top scorer is Serhiy Petrov with 3 goals. At the same time, Volyn remain to be the toughest team of the season, earning 40 yellow cards and two sending-offs. As for Shakhtar reserve team, the Donetsk side earned the least bookings - only 15.
