The teams started the game energetically and created a number of chances from the opening minutes. However, France quickly adapted to the game and midway through the half we took control of the game. The hosts’ midfielder Lem was one of the most energetic players. During a short period of time, he had three chances to score; in of the episodes Buschan made a save, and on other two occasions the ball flew wide of the target. The Ukraine national team tried to make the situation dangerous through Viktor Kovalenko, but the Pitmen’s midfielder lacked accuracy.
