Shakhtar will have to switch psychologically over from the match that took place in Madrid to another league game. The Pitmen keep chasing Dynamo who have three points more. Mircea Lucescu’s team have to win every game in their race for the league title.
Stal are sitting 9th in the league table, with 7 points. They have 2 wins and 1 draw under their belt. In the past week, Stal showed decent football against Vorskla, but conceded two goals in the second half – after a corner kick and counterattack. A response to that was a Babenko goal five minutes from time, it was not enough to take points. In the matches against better teams, Volodymyr Mazyar’s charges try to impose their game, counting on defensive play and counterattacks.

Stal’s defender Serhiy Voronin returns to action, after serving suspension as a result of receiving four yellow cards during the course of the competition. Before that, the player took part in all six games of Stal. It should also be noted that Darijo Srna missed the game in Kharkiv after being sent off in the game against Metalurh Zaporizhzhya. The Pitmen’s captain is also returning to the list of available players, who can take part in the competition.
