Volodymyr Mazyar: Mircea Lucescu should be happy
The mentor of Dniprodzerzhynsk-based Stal shared his take on the game against Shakhtar.
- The first goal we conceded was a rebound one, while the second resulted from set play. We have conceded our second straight set-piece goal - we have a problem in this respect, so we will try to solve it as soon as possible. It’s disappointing that we gave one away in the dying seconds. I think that if it had been 1-0, the performance after the break would have been more interesting. I want to say that I read an interview by Shakhtar head coach just recently. I think Mircea Lucescu should be happy with the fact that Stal have played football today, showing the necessary qualities, and, if we give it further consideration, we created more scoring opportunities after the break than Shakhtar did.
- What caused the substitution of Kucherov back in the first half?
- Valera didn’t fit in with the performance, he made many errors, and we got him off that zone. He's a young guy, so he just got somewhat blunt due to excessive anxiety.
