The second game of the teams in the past championship has surpassed the first one in terms of the goals scored. And this is solely Shakhtar’s merit, who sealed a bigger win after making it 5-0. As early as on 8 minutes, the Pitmen took the lead: Lebid fouled on Rakytskyy inside the penalty area, with Srna confidently converting a penalty kick. Olimpik tried to orchestrate a number of attacks, but it was them who were forced to defend. Midway through the second half, Litovka parried away a Teixeira shot, with Ilsinho failing to send the ball in on the rebound.
Shakhtar continued attacking, and it led to… three more goals before the half time break: Marlos sealed his brace within a space of one minute, and in the closing stages of the second half, following a pass from Ilsinho, Gladkyy made it 4-0. At the end of the match everything was clear. Mircea Lucescu’s charges gave the initiative away for some minutes in the second half before scoring on the counterattack after a 3-player move involving Stepanenko, Teixeira and Taison. In the end of the game Teixeira completed the romp to make it 6-0.
