Training camp in Spain: Shakhtar getting ready for Dinamo match
The Pitmen’s evening training session traditionally lasted one hour and a half and was characterised by active work with the ball. Shakhtar were focused on streamlining game combinations, interplays in attack and defence.
- On Friday, we are playing with Dinamo Zagreb. Mister will decide regarding the starting line-up. I hope I will have the opportunity to show what I can do in a match with such strong opponents, - says Shakhtar's midfielder Andriy Korobenko. - Me and other guys were taken to the training camp for the first time with the first team. This is a chance to realise our dream - to play for Shakhtar! I am very grateful to Mister for that. He watches us, assesses. On my part, I am doing my best. Of course, I still need to work very hard. But I try to get in shape. At first it was hard. I had never ran so much before - I ran almost 19 kilometers straight upon my arrival! But with time, I have got used to it. And now I have improved my condition and feel better and more confident. There is a very important aspect of taking an example from senior colleagues. In the first team there are many Brazilians who possess amazing technique. You see how they perform some actions and you realize what you need to work on! The feet themselves are trying to work with the ball faster. This is a very big plus for us, young players, and the opportunity to progress.
On 5 February, Shakhtar will play a friendly match with the Croatia league leaders Dinamo Zagreb. The game will begin at 20:00 Kyiv time.
