Randers vs Shakhtar: player opinions

Players of the Donetsk team have shared their impressions about the game with Randers and summed up the results of the Spanish training camp.

Ivan Ordets, Shakhtar defender:

- It was a difficult game. On the field, there was much struggle; we managed to create a number of dangerous chances. It was necessary to implement convert and win, but unfortunately we failed. Perhaps fatigue is already taking its toll, for today is a penultimate day of the training camp. As for my injury, I was challenging for the ball in the air after a throw-in, and the opponent put his leg – I was hit in the left side of the head. On the whole, I am satisfied with the work we have done at the training camp. Of all the opponents, whom we faced in Spain, I would single out Dinamo Zagreb – they are a very skilful team, and Randers, who demonstrate the Scandinavian physical football.

Oleksandr Gladkyy, Shakhtar forward:

- Today we faced typical Scandinavian team, who are powerful, strong. Therefore, the pitch saw more individual physical battles than football. In physical terms, this was the most difficult match of the Spanish training camp. But such games are also needed, because we are about to play a tough game with Schalke. Before the match with the German team, there is another week, during which we have to get into the optimum condition. Now in every game, we look for positives and mistakes, analyse them and move on. Today we could have won. I had a good chance when Marlos made a pass into the free zone. But I should have hit the ball earlier. Overall we had a good training camp; it was interesting to play with all the teams. Our Academy players have proved themselves well. Guys did a good job!
