Anderlecht vs Shakhtar: preview

After the first game with Anderlecht, Mircea Lucescu noted that in Brussels his team would have a tough game. Mister stressed the importance of Taras Stepenaneko returning to action after serving suspension and missing the game in Lviv.

Ahead of the return leg with Shakhtar and a start in the league play-off stage in the Belgian league, where Anderlecht will play, they changed the surface of the pitch at the Constant Vanden Stock stadium. Anderlecht have already tested the pitch in the game with Kortrijk, claiming a 3-0 win.

According to Anderlecht’s coach, Matias Suarez won’t be available in the game due to injury. 

Previous game

In the first game in Lviv, Shakhtar got a 3-1 win. The Pitmen had a very good first half, during which Taison and Kucher got on the scoresheet. After the break, Anderlecht managed to score an important away goal but soon Eduardo wrapped the game up after heading the ball in.
