Darijo Srna: From day one we’ve been like one family

- Firstly, I want to say a big thank you to the players for our being like one family from the first day. We played against everyone, even against our local guys. But my team, my army have proved that none can challenge us with anything. Secondly, I want to say thank you to all the spouses of our footballers, the girlfriends and families. Each of us felt your support. Thank you so much! Also, thanks to the team doctors, administrators and masseurs. We’ve been together from matchday one. Of course, many thanks to our coach Mr. Fonseca and his staff. You created that family-like atmosphere, felt that we had a good team, and proved that you deserve to be Shakhtar mentor – both as an individual and a coach.

I want to express my immense gratitude to our president. It was really tough for him not to hold this cup for two consecutive years. Thank you, president, for not losing heart in such a difficult situation, for believing in us, for having confidence in the fact that we would become the best. On behalf of the team, I want to dedicate this cup to you. Thank you all!
