Shakhtar U21 footballers, who scored in the youth El Clásico, shared their thoughts about the victory over Dynamo
Artem Dudik, forward:
- The game appeared to be not wide open: everyone was afraid to make a mistake, no one wanted to take risks. It turned out difficult to set up a moment of danger, but clear-cut chances still came our way. I am happy that I helped my teammates win a match of principle and earn important three points. We demonstrated the ultimate dedication on the pitch - the outcome is absolutely natural. Our team just needed to win and regain confidence. I think, thanks to this uplift, we are in for better results from now on.

– The coaching staff have prepared us well tactically. We analysed the opponents’ performance in previous matches and therefore knew how they would operate. I think our team have fully followed the instructions and embodied everything what had been planned. The key moment was a sending-off at the Kyiv side. We completely seized the initiative, delivered incessant attacks and created many opportunities, but did not succeeded in breaking the deadlock for a long time. However, we believed in ourselves to the last and managed to net two goals in the dying minutes. When coming onto the field, I was a little worried, as our lead was narrow.
