- A good, spectacular game - I think everyone who was watching it, liked it. The sides had multiple scoring chances, especially we did. Unfortunately, we didn’t convert all of them. In general, I’m satisfied with my team’s attacking performance. Today, some less positive episodes happened in the defensive half, where we didn’t always succeed. I consider this victory to be fully deserved, but I’m very unhappy about the two goals we conceded, which were absolutely unnecessary.
- Did you expect this very kind of performance from the hosts? Why didn’t Shakhtar keep the score after the break, not developing it and giving the opponents a chance to bring back the suspense?
- We did expect a difficult match, because we’re aware of Zirka’s features. I think my team got somewhat complacent at a certain moment, when being in front. Perhaps after the break the guys thought that we’d already won – this led to the lack of attention in some defensive actions.
- How significant is the loss of Darijo Srna? Will it affect your resources and the interplay, in particular in the Champions League fixtures?
- Darijo is a very experienced football player. He’s unique. First of all, he's our leader and the captain. Of course, we will be missing him. At the same time, I can say with confidence that I fully trust Butko. Bohdan proved himself before, also delivering a great performance today. Yes, now we’ve got to play without Darijo. However, we trust absolutely every player and will prepare for the next games with maximum attention and concentration.
