- Right, Fonseca decided to leave me on the bench, because there will be a crucial game on Saturday. But I appeared on the field and tried to deliver my play, to show my best qualities. The team perfectly know how I act, so the performance got better being followed by the kind of football characteristic of us. In this match appeared the guys who don’t play that often, there were newcomers in the starting line-up. We play in the national team with some of them, and I'm happy that Shakhtar have claimed a great victory, with the guys proving themselves.
- In the last goal-scoring episode, you acted generously. Didn’t you want to excel yourself?
- I'm really happy when my teammates score goals. Of course, I like scoring, but when I see someone having a more favourable position, I just pass the ball. That’s natural, as we are one team. I enjoy the assists just as much as the goals.
- How did you like playing with Dodo down the wing? Could you compare him with Darijo Srna and Bohdan Butko?
- Darijo Srna is a great football player and a great person, being our leader. Bohdan Butko now plays at his position, working hard and delivering the great football. He helps me very much on the pitch, it's easy and easy and comfy to interact with him. Bohdan and I understand each other perfectly, we also play in the national team together. Dodo is a young guy who joined just recently and has delivered a great performance today. We should help him now for him to grow up in our team. All of us, the Brazilians, came from a completely different country where they play different football, but we tried to adapt as soon as possible. We succeeded, I hope that Dodo will also succeed and be an important player.
- At the end of the season, Shakhtar are to face Dynamo in the league and in the Cup. Which meeting will be more important and emotional?
- We are going through a good moment: we’ve had some tough clashes, having done really well in the Champions League. As for Dynamo, they showcase the style which doesn’t quite combine with our play. We prefer open, attacking football, when technical skill can decide the outcome, while the Kyiv side operate differently, therefore our rivalry is always a war, always a fight. I really respect Dynamo, they’ve got some great players, but we’ll find a way to win. The Ukrainian Cup final is another crucial match for us, where we’ll have the opportunity to invert our play: what we failed to do in the last match we’ll do in the next one. We must win the Cup. And we’ll make absolutely every effort to achieve that.
