On the eve of the match vs Vorskla, the Shakhtar midfielder took part in an unusual event
In the Kharkiv Central Park of Culture and Leisure named after Maksim Gorkiy, Marlos planted a spruce in the Tree Alley. The event was timed to coincide with the Environment Day, which is celebrated in Ukraine on the third Saturday of April. The halfback used a shovel quite professionally, confessing later that he often used to work with his father in the garden as a child.
- This is not my first experience of planting trees, - says the 29-year-old. - When I was still a child, in Brazil we often worked in the garden with my father. He likes plants so much. Having learnt that I can participate in this kind of event, I immediately agreed, because for me this is an opportunity to plunge into my childhood.
