The Green-and-Whites have been long-time leaders of the Bulgarian football for several years in a row. Ludogorets became the champions of the country in 2012 for the first time, with them claiming the title for the sixth time in the last season with 16 points clear of CSKA Sofia (36 matches, 25 wins, 8 draws and 3 losses).
Opponents prepare for Milan
In the current season, the Miners’ opponents are also sitting atop the table following 20 rounds, however, with only 1 point separating them and CSKA. Since August, 58-year-old Dimitar Dimitrov took charge of Ludogorets, after he worked at Irtysh Pavlodar in the Kazakhstan league. The Razgrad outfit passed through a difficult group in the Europa League (Braga, İstanbul Büyükşehir, Hoffenheim), having suffered only one loss and taken 2nd place. In the round of 32, the Bulgarian side will face Milan.
