On June 18, the Champions of Ukraine started preparing for the 2018/19 season
A medical comes first
After the break that lasted almost a month, the players and coaches gathered at the suburban base of Sviatoshyn, where they underwent a medical first. After the medical procedures, the Miners moved to the field. Before the session kickoff, the coach Paulo Fonseca addressed his men with an introductory speech, specifying the nearest plans and also introducing the team to the newcomers. The session itself was introductory, including a warm-up, playing squares and a small-sided game.
Shakhtar starts training with the following squad:
goalkeepers: Oleh Kudryk, Mykyta Shevchenko, Oleksii Shevchenko;
defenders: Ivan Ordets, Dodo, Oleh Danchenko;
midfielders: Viacheslav Tankovskyi, Alan Patrick, Dentinho, Ivan Petriak, Oleksandr Zubkov, Andrii Totovytskyi, Serhii Bolbat, Fernando, Maycon, Wellington Nem, Maksym Malyshev;
forwards: Gustavo Blanco Leschuk, Olarenwaju Kayode, Junior Moraes.
Pre-training camp plans
The Orange-and-Blacks have got one session scheduled for today. Starting from tomorrow, the players will train twice a day.
We want to remind you that on June 21, Shakhtar will go to Germany for their first training camp.
