Shakhtar Social, DTEK and the administration of the Lviv regional council signed a memorandum of co-operation

The joint work will unfold in the framework of the grassroots football project Come on, Let’s Play! According to the memorandum, children aged 6 to 12 will have the opportunity to play on new football grounds for free.

The Come on, Let’s Play! project will cover the settlements of Lviv (town of Chervonohrad, Dobrotvir settlement) and Ivano-Frankivsk (Burshtyn, Demeshkovtsi) Oblasts. Shakhtar Social will create the necessary conditions for sessions: they will provide the children with equipment, continue to train volunteer coaches, organize training sessions and tournaments.

- The Come on, Let’s Play! project is nationwide, - says Yuriy Sviridov, the FC Shakhtar Marketing and Communications Department Director. - It allows boys, girls and children with disabilities to regularly play football. The philosophy of the project implies the absence of boundaries and frontiers, so Shakhtar Social expands the presence of the Come on, Let’s Play! across Ukraine. Thanks to DTEK, we got a reliable partner for promoting grassroots football. The partner who understands that through investing in sports infrastructure for children today, tomorrow the country will get the generation of healthy and sporty people. I’m convinced that the co-operation between Shakhtar, DTEK and the Lviv regional council will provide impetus for the development of children's grassroots football in Western Ukraine.

The financial side will be assumed by DTEK and the Lviv regional council.

- The Come on, Let’s Play! is a social project that draws our children's attention to sports, helping them to develop their talents and lead a healthy lifestyle, - pointed out the chairman of the Lviv regional council Oleksandr Hanuschin.
