24 start-ups and 8 countries in Shakhtar accelerator

On November 24-25, Kyiv will host the final selection of participants for a major accelerator of sports projects jointly carried out by FC Shakhtar and HYPE Sports Innovation
Aggregately, they received over 100 applications from 14 countries for participation in the SPIN accelerator. Within the first stage, they selected 24 sports start-ups from 8 countries. Those are, alongside 17 applicants from Ukraine, the representatives of Switzerland, Belarus, Italy, Great Britain, USA, Kazakhstan, and Malta.
The sports start-ups to have reached the final are thematically diverse, ranging from a personal coach search proposal to creating another cryptocurrency for the economic interaction between clubs and athletes. The youngest participant in the accelerator is 14. The talented teenager from Dnipro will offer for mentors’ consideration a device that can register an offside situation during a football match.
After a fortnight’s selection to be carried out by a team of renowned mentors, the creators of the best start-ups will be offered to conclude contracts for funding by the accelerator.
