On September 14, the Come On, Let’s Play! project was launched in the town of Burshtyn in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

The social project aimed at developing children's grassroots football is being implemented by the Shakhtar Social foundation in partnership with DTEK.

The opening of the new Come On, Let’s Play! ground was part the programme to celebrate the Burshtyn Town Day. The town mayor Roksolana Dzhura congratulated the guys with the beginning of training sessions and wished everyone good health and every success at the festive event.

30 kids took part in the first open training session. After dividing into two groups, they practised some play elements, passing and shots on goal.

- Our festival was a success. We longed for this for a long while. I an thankful to FC Shakhtar for coming to our town with this kind of project. We plan to develop the Come On, Let’s Play! and to open new pitches, said Denys Shmyhal, the Director of DTEK Burshtyn TPP. - The more children are involved, the better. I want to address the guys: learn, play, lead a healthy lifestyle and develop yourselves in the sport - this is the foundation of your life. You are great guys, you are our hope and our future. Perhaps, someone will become a football player, someone else won’t. But just make sure to be healthy, happy and successful in the professions you choose for yourselves!

In total, 80 children aged 7 to 12 have already signed up for training in Burshtyn.

- This project is the first step for those who would like to bring football into their lives,  - pointed out the Shakhtar Academy coach Volodymyr Vinychenko. - Football is the best game in the world. I wish you great health and big sporting achievements.

This is a reminder that in early September, the Come On, Let’s Play! also kicked off in the regional centre – the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.
