I congratulated the guys on the start of training in Zaporizhia. They have every opportunity to practise football in good conditions. I wish them good luck and wish them to enjoy football!
“Come On, Let’s Play! is a very good project. I know that its geography expands each year, with new grounds being opened in more cities,” Viktor Kovalenko gave a comment. “I congratulated the guys on the start of training in Zaporizhia. The children trained under the guidance of Volodymyr Vinnychenko with the participation of Kovalenko and got the opportunity to get the autographs. On the same day, they also opened the grounds at school 33 (40 Nezhynska St) and school 92 (9 Lakhtynska St).

The Come On, Let’s Play!” project in Zaporizhia is supported by three enterprises of the Metinvest group. They help to implement the project at each site:

“Involving children in sports and channeling the sea of energy in the direction that is useful for them is the main goal of Come On, Let’s Play! which we are implementing in partnership with FC Shakhtar,” pointed out Rostyslav Shurma, the CEO of Zaporizhstal PJSC. “The children’s interest in the game is growing every year. Therefore, sports infrastructure is improving in Zaporizhia, the city is building new sports fields, and responsible businesses are implementing this kind of cool sports projects that help to gather the kids from the streets and give them the most important thing - the dream and the opportunity to fulfil it.”

Training sessions are held three times a week and are absolutely free. The participants are provided with balls and the necessary equipment for fully-fledged training sessions which are conducted by qualified volunteer coaches three times a week. In total, about 250 children will train at three locations in Zaporizhia.

“Our goal is that as many children in Ukraine as possible play football, using high-quality balls and under the guidance of good coaches,” says Inna Khmyzova, the director of Shakhtar Social. “At our training sessions, the guys not only develop physically but also learn mutual assistance and teamwork. Come On, Let’s Play! is open for partnership. And we are delighted that Zaporizhstal shares the values of our project and joined its implementation.”
