The Come On, Let’s Play! project of the Shakhtar Social Foundation is an international award winner
On the initiative of the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine, they held a competition of partnership projects called Partnership for Sustainability Award 2019 between various stakeholder groups to achieve their sustainable development. This year, more than 80 cases from across four countries have been presented in four categories. The Come On, Let’s Play! project of the Shakhtar Social Foundation was shortlisted and, following the results of the competition, received an award in the Society category.
“The Come On, Let’s Play! grounds operate in 34 cities and towns in our country, with over 4,500 children playing football. This large-scale project cannot be implemented by anyone alone, it can be fulfilled only as part of a partnership,” pointed out Inna Khmyzova, Director of the Shakhtar Social Foundation.
We want to remind you that earlier, the Come On, Let’s Play! project was recognized as Europe’s best CSR initiative at the annual More than Football Award 2019 in Barcelona.
The project for the development of grassroots football in Ukraine is being implemented by Shakhtar Social jointly with DTEK with the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children and the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine.
