Shakhtar U14 won gold medals of the Junior Football League of Ukraine

Season without defeats

The team coached by Oscar Ratulutra and Dmytro Yefymov performed confidently throughout the season. At the main stage of the championship, the young Miners claimed 16 wins and 2 draws in 18 games, having 50 points (goal difference of 60–8), winning the top spot in their group. Danylo Skliarenko is the best scorer at this competition stage (14 goals).

In the head-to-head meetings, the Orange-Blacks defeated Zirka (2-1 and 8-1), then they beat UFK-Karpaty (0-0), Metalurh Zaporizhia (4-1), and Lviv (2-0) in the final tournament, also demolishing Skala Morshyn in the semi-finals (7-1).

Classic final

In the decisive match of the season, Shakhtar met with Dynamo at the Tsentralnyi stadium in Uman. Already in the 11th minute, the Miners opened the scoring through a long-range attempt by Maksym Derkach, who ended up at the club’s Academy after Talent Day trials. The Orange-and-Blacks calmly controlled the course of the game, not allowing the opponents to create any chances near their goal and ultimately winning it.

1-0 - Shakhtar U14 have become the champions of Ukraine in the DUFL junior age group for the second year in a row (the players born in 2005).

The Shakhtar goalkeeper Vladyslav Kravets won the Best Goalkeeper prize, the forward Maksym Derkach was named the Forward of the Tournament, and the midfielder Oleksandr Yuschenko was recognized as the Player of the Season.
