Valeriy Kryventsov completed his spell at the helm of Shakhtar U21
The club academy graduate Valeriy Kryventsov spent 10 seasons with Shakhtar as a player, being the team captain and winning the Ukrainian Cup three times. After completing his player career in 2006, he became a Shakhtar Academy coach.
In 2015, Shakhtar U19 with Kryventsov at the helm reached the UEFA Youth League final and won gold medals in the domestic league. Since 2016, Valeriy has headed the U21 team who won the 2017/18 league title. Currently, his boys play for Shakhtar senior team and other professional clubs both in Ukraine and abroad. This summer, five Shakhtar U21 players won the FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland.
