On November 16, they held an open training session at the A+ Gymnasium ground in Kyiv

It was attended by 30 children with special needs who received Shakhtar U19 footballers Artem Bondarenko, Dmytro Kryskiv, Vladyslav Kobylianskyi, Edvard Kobak, Dmytro Avdyeyev, and Daniel Egbudjo.

The joint event was held as part of the implementation of social programmes by the clubs participating in the UEFA Youth League. The Shakhtar Academy reps presented children with equipment for training sessions (sets of cones, fitballs, pumps, gymnastic gear) and trained together with the kids.
We’ve trained together with pleasure. This is the first event of this kind - both for me personally and for teammates. We are glad that we gave the guys some positive emotions!
Artem Bondarenko, midfielder:

- We’ve trained together with pleasure. This is the first event of this kind - both for me personally and for teammates. We are glad that we gave the guys some positive emotions. I expected that it would be interesting, but everything passed even better. I really liked it. The kids are lively, running around, trying hard, they like scoring goals. I got really impressed!

Serhii Karputev, a Shakhtar Social coach:

- It’s very pleasant to work with children, because they always give their all in training, at the same time shining on us like the sun even in this cold weather. There was nothing difficult today. We have two coaches, and we brought together two groups and worked as one team. The guys from the Shakhtar Academy immediately joined the training process and actively helped us. We are immensely grateful to them for the participation and for the presented gear. Such events are very important for children: they look forward to seeing the players, getting prepared for that, they run to the training session location with enthusiasm, they see how Shakhtar players behave, with the kids getting a clear goal to work on and develop further.
