The Miners fully dedicated the fourth day of their pre-season training camp to fieldwork
In the morning, the team worked on organizing defensive actions and pressing, in the evening they focussed on delivering the ball and shots on goal, along with developing attacks from a goal-kick to the finishing phase.
At the training camp, the coaching staff traditionally give young footballers a chance to prove themselves. So, from day one, Ihor Kiryukhantsev and Vladyslav Vakula have been training with the senior team after returning from Mariupol, alongside one of Shakhtar U21 leaders Artem Bondarenko.

I’m ready and want to show my best. It’s important not to burn out though. Today, they put me in the unusual defensive midfielder position for the first time, but we must do any work required by the coach
“I didn’t expect that I would have the opportunity to train with the first team already at this training camp, and I’m very happy that Luis Castro gave me this chance,” says Artem Bondarenko. “I’m ready and want to show my best. Tomorrow, Shakhtar will hold two training sessions again. At 16:00 on Saturday, January 25, the Miners will play their first test game vs Lech Poznan.
