Shakhtar joined Welcome through Football project

Extensive presence

The project aiming at exchanging experience and developing a football-based social inclusion methodology, has been implemented with the support of the European Football for Development Network (EFDN) and the UEFA Foundation for Children. Foundations of six other European football clubs participate in it: Benfica (Portugal), Werder Bremen (Germany), Everton, Sheffield United (both based in England), Emmen (Netherlands) and Apollon Limassol (Cyprus).

Social inclusion

The participants in the Welcome through Football project in Ukraine over the next two seasons will be internally displaced persons and refugees. 60 children, young boys and girls will play football, have classes and training. This will allow them to better integrate into society, gain new knowledge or even decide on their future professions.
