Shakhtar fans have picked the Player of the 2019/20 season
The award went to the forward and team’s top scorer Junior Moraes.

On the club's official pages in social networks, 2,421 people voted for Moraes. The second spot belongs to Taison (1,909), the third one to Taras Stepanenko (1,591), the fourth one to Marlos (709). A total of 6,630 fans participated in the opinion poll.
“It's a great honour to be the Player of the Season! This is the fruit of hard work and the assistance of all my teammates. The key to success is motivation. Every day I try to get better than yesterday. Shakhtar does the same - the club improves its performance every year,” Junior pointed out.

Last season, Junior Moraes became the Premier League's top scorer for the second time in a row - he netted 20 goals and surpassed his own result of the previous year (19). In total, the forward made 41 appearances (the most apps among all the Miners) and scored 26 goals. In European competitions, he scored three goals vs Wolfsburg and one vs each of Atalanta, Dinamo Zagreb and Basel.
