Shakhtar footballers gave a press conference for the Come On, Let's Play! project participants

Owing to the Come On, Let's Play! project, children in 38 settlements of Ukraine have the opportunity to play football, lead a healthy lifestyle and communicate with their peers. But while most regions are in the red zone and the quarantine restrictions are effective, it is impossible to conduct training sessions. While kids are expecting the resumption of sessions, Shakhtar Social and project partner DTEK decided to enliven the activities of boys and girls by arranging an online conference for them.

Shakhtar defender David Khocholava and goalkeeper Oleksii Shevchenko took part in the event. During an hour, the players answered questions and told the children about their daily routine, the sportsmen’s nutrition, motivation in training, important Shakhtar matches and stages of their careers. Those to have posed three most interesting questions received children's book called Football as a gift from the players.
Everyone liked it: both the children who asked the questions and the football players

Inna Khmyzova, Shakhtar Social Director:

“We decided to hold online conferences with the participation of players. This is a great way to keep in touch with the guys who are involved in our project. I think everyone liked it: both the children who asked the questions and the football players.”

As a child, I didn’t have the opportunity to talk to my football hero. But here we had that chance, and it's cool

Oleksii Shevchenko, Shakhtar goalkeeper:

“The kids prepared well, it was interesting to talk with them. As a child, I didn’t have the opportunity to talk to my football hero. But here we had that chance, and it's cool. I really liked it because these are our young fans!”

Shakhtar Social plans to conduct several online conferences with the participation of Shakhtar players for the participants of the Come On, Let's Play! Project. The next guests will be Valerii Bondar and Anatolii Trubin (to participate, register at the link).
