Shakhtar set off for the first leg vs Genk in the UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round
At 10:00 on August 2, the plane with the Miners on board headed from Boryspil to Maastricht located in the south of the Netherlands. The team spent about three hours in the sky. Maastricht is slightly over 20 kilometres away from Belgium’s Genk where the club bearing the same name will host Ukraine’s vice-champions this Tuesday.
Shakhtar head coach Roberto De Zerbi took 24 players to Belgium.
