In Brovary, Shakhtar Football School hosted the final Come On, Let’s Play! training session in 2021 for children with disabilities

The session was attended by 20 children aged 6 to 13.

Such training sessions are not only about sports, but also about teamwork, socialising and friendship
Inna Khmyzova, Shakhtar Social Director:

“I would like the projects like Come On, Let’s Play! to last as long as possible because the most important thing we do here is conducting regular training sessions for children. It’s important for us that they train, come to us as often as possible and develop the habit of going in for sports. Such training sessions are not only about sports, but also about teamwork, socialising and friendship.”

The Come On, Let’s Play! is being implemented with the support of the general partner DTEK for three years. About 7,000 boys and girls as well as 300 children with disabilities and special needs took part in the project.
I believe in our project and in each of its participants. May it continue developing in the new year, and may the dreams of the young participants come true for sure!
Vitalii Shaida, CEO of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids:

“DTEK is a reliable and responsible company that is transforming its business in accordance with DTEK’s New 2030 Strategy based on the principles of ESG and business responsibility for achieving the sustainable development goals of the UN Global Compact. Ahead of the New Year holidays, we visited children from the inclusive Come On, Let’s Play! group that was formed in Brovary in 2021, brought gifts and wished them happy upcoming holidays. It's delightful to see the joy in their eyes! It is us, adults, who give the children faith in miracles. And with the help of the projects like Come On, Let’s Play!, we also give them faith in their strengths and capabilities. The opening of sports grounds is of great benefit, playing football not only helps us to involve them in the sport, but also contributes to the socialization of the kids with disabilities. I believe in our project and in each of its participants. May it continue developing in the new year, and may the dreams of the young participants come true for sure!”

All children received gifts from DTEK and Shakhtar Social.

Training sessions for children with disabilities are also held in Mariupol, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk and Severodonetsk. The project participants and the coach have been provided with all the necessary equipment. The Come On, Let’s Play! map already includes 43 settlements.
