While the football season is on hiatus, we continue bringing you the most interesting particulars of Shakhtar games

We want to remind you that the 2020/21 season started for the Miners immediately after the previous one without any break and is atypical due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At a certain point, a whole group of footballers could not train and take part in matches.

Dodo is the leader in terms of game time: the right-back spent a total of 1,515 minutes on the pitch (excluding stoppage time). Mykola Matviienko played for 1,305 minutes, Tete for 1,196, Marlos for 1,183, Anatolii Trubin for 1,170. The top ten also includes Valerii Bondar (1,110), Taison (1,086), Manor Solomon (966), Taras Stepanenko (947) and Alan Patrick (941), with the rest of players having less than 900 minutes.

Tete took part in all 19 matches (12 league apps, six UCL apps and one Super Cup app). At the same time, the Brazilian came on as a sub on six occasions. Dodo, Marlos, Solomon and Patrick were involved in 17 games.

Season debutants

Viktor Korniienko aggregately played for 798 minutes in 10 matches before he got injured in a game vs Dynamo. Heorhii Sudakov was fielded as a substitute vs Real Madrid and Vorskla, he also appeared in the starting lineup vs Mariupol and scored a goal. Viunnyk provided an assist back then. Bohdan, in addition to his appearances vs Real Madrid and Mariupol, appeared in the meeting vs Minaj.

In general, Fernando was fielded as a substitute more often than others this season - 9 times. In the course of the game, Solomon was fielded on eight occasions, Alan Patrick on seven; and Taras Stepanenko, Viktor Kovalenko, and Tete on six each. However, Marlos and Marcos Antonio left the field more often than others before the final whistle (11 times each). Patrick was replaced on seven occasions, Taison and Moraes on six occasions each.

As many as four Shakhtar players led the team onto the pitch with the captain's armband on during the recent part of the season. Andriy Pyatov and Marlos have six such appearances each. Taras Stepanenko captained the team five times, Alan Patrick did it twice.
