In the friendly meeting, Roman Zaiev's women hosted Kyiv-based Yednist in Shchaslyve. The sides had three periods of 25 minutes each. The ladies of Shakhtar women’s team were the first to try on the new orange-black Puma kit in action.
 
Kozhukhar opened the scoring
 
After the starting whistle it was obvious who would have the advantage in the game. It was difficult for Yednist defence to resist the opponents’ attacks, with the goalkeeper having to take the ball out of the net four times in 12 minutes. The first goal in the history of Shakhtar women's team was scored by Veronika Kozhukhar, after Mariia Kovb intercepted the ball in midfield, Yelyzaveta Molodyuk made an excellent pass to the right-hand side of the penalty area, and Lyubov Mokhnach crossed it along the goal area. Then Oleksandra Krevska headed a corner inside the far post. Immediately after that, Molodiuk and Nadiia Veherych quickly brought the ball to Kozhukhar who beat her opponent at the edge of the penalty area and drilled a right-footer into the back of the net, with Polina Yanchuk flicking the cross home, making it 4-0.

Roman Zaiev's women continued notching up goals in the second period of 25 minutes. First Yanchuk scored a double, and then she grabbed a hat-trick. In the 41st minute, Mokhnach sent Kozhukhar through on target with a quality long ball, and Veronika provided Polina with an asisst. Yanchuk could have put herself on the scoresheet in one of the following episodes when she won the ball in the opposing box after kick-off only to see her effort hit the post, with Kozhukhar finishing it off. Shakhtar attacks involved ten outfield players, with the opponents being unable to counteract. The third period turned out to be even more productive than the first two (7 goals). One of the goals stood out as it was scored from the spot. Mokhnach earned it and converted at 11-0. All in all the Orange-and-Blacks scored 16 goals, although they could have done even more.
 
The match vs FC Yednist is part of the preparatory process of Shakhtar women's team. The season will start on August 15 - on this day in Kropyvnytskyi, Roman Zaiev's women are to meet with Bahira.
