Shakhtar Social organized a training event for coaches and volunteers

In mid-July, Shakhtar Social held a training for coaches and volunteers called ‘Introduction to Inclusive Training’ in Severodonetsk.

The main goal of the training is to involve children with special needs in the training process. Representatives of Schastia, Stanytsia Luhanska, Vrubovka, Popasna and Kamyshevakha took part in the event. The main speaker was Oleksandr Fomichev - the administrator of the Come On, Let’s Play! project in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Oleksandr Fomichev, coach of the Come On, Let’s Play! project in Ivano-Frankivsk:

“There is an understanding in society that inclusion involves, for some reason, children with disabilities, but the concept is much broader actually. It includes ethnic minorities, girls in football, children from families with different incomes, orphans, and so on. We try to show them how we act, regardless of who we work with, to find some universal solutions, the only right ones, so that everyone is included, so that everyone can enjoy the game and feel safe.”

Yevhen Kolesnyk, administrator coach of the Come On, Let's Play! project in Severodonetsk:

“For us, the most important thing is to make mass sports accessible to everyone, and for children to have fun. At the training, they said that children should train with smiles on their faces. Most importantly, they should smile, and everything will be fine, everything will work out for them then!”

Let us remind you that in July a similar event took place at the Shakhtar football school in Brovary.

Shakhtar Social inclusive training sessions are currently held with the assistance of the partner company DTEK in eight cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Lviv and Brovary. The goal is to organize inclusive sessions in all 40 cities of presence of the Come On, Let’s Play! project.
