The Miners won the DUFL Elite League final in the U14 category
Confident play in the final
Vitalii Vitsenets' team thrashed UFK-Karpaty 5-0. Already in the first half, the Donetsk team looked better than their opponents, created many dangerous chances and secured a comfortable two-goal lead. In the 16th minute, Shakhtar opened the scoring: following Artem Stepanov's cross, the opposing defender Maksym Sunhal’ scored an own goal. In the 30th minute, Artem netted a goal which became his 30th this season. In the second half, the Miners gave the score a very lopsided look (Nikolenko grabbed a brace, Didenko scored a goal).
Powerful campaign this season
The Shakhtar U14 team secured the second title this season for Shakhtar Academy. Vitalii Vitsenets' boys confidently covered the entire competitive path, alternately winning in two subgroups of six teams, and defeating their Mariupol counterparts in the playoffs (3-1, 5-0). In the semi-finals, the Orange-and-Blacks crushed DVUFK Dnipro 5-1. In total, Shakhtar U14 claimed 21 wins in this season’s 24 games.

After the final match, Shakhtar players were handed personal awards. Illia Martyuk was recognized as the tournament’s best defender, with Artem Stepanov becoming the best forward, and with Ruslan Leuta being selected as the top player.
