Fans were selecting a Shakhtar Player of the 2020/21 Season on social media for two weeks
Seven footballers were shortlisted for the final poll after each of them had been named Player of the Month throughout the past season.
Trubin got ahead of Solomon
A total of 7,404 people voted on the club's social networking pages. The winner is goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin after getting 3,427 votes. The second position belongs to Manor Solomon (2,359), with the third spot being claimed by Taras Stepanenko (759). Tete (302), Marlos (200), last year's winner Junior Moraes (181) and Viktor Korniienko (176) are sitting bottom of the list.

19-year-old graduate of Shakhtar Academy Anatolii Trubin made 30 appearances out of 37 games in all competitions in the 2020/21 season (amassing 2,864 minutes including stoppage time), of which 50% are clean sheets (one vs Real Madrid; two vs Inter and Maccabi TA; one vs Dynamo, Dnipro-1, Kolos, Rukh, Olimpik, Desna, Vorskla, Mariupol, Minaj and Inhulets).
