Shakhtar beat Bahira for the second time to secure another league victory

Roman Zaiev brought Mariia Denyshchych back to the starting lineup and fielded as many as four nominal defenders at once: Mariia Kovb, Anastasiia Illina, Oleksandra Krevska and Valeriia Olkhovska.

Assist provider Mokhnach

Traditionally, Shakhtar started attacking actively from the very first minutes. Kozhukhar, Yanchuk and Molodiuk had excellent chances, but the girls’ attempts lacked accuracy. A defender managed to open the scoring though: Krevska successfully finished off Mokhnach’s delivery at the far post. A couple of minutes later, the Orange-and-Blacks scored again following Mohnach’s high ball – Yanchuk netted one this time (2-0). Then Lyubov herself had several scoring opportunities, but her efforts went wide. Before the end of the first half, Shakhtar created a number of other chances, but none of them came to fruition.

Goal conversion rate

In the second half, Shakhtar continued to dominate, which resulted in two scoring attacks in early stages at once. Yanchuk scored a double, and then Veherych sent her perfect attempt inside the top corner. A few minutes later, Krevska effectively supported the attack by scoring the team's fifth goal. In the 71st minute, Veherych scored a double by firing a low ball home from outside the box. After that, Kozub netted a hat-trick, plus Yanchuk and Manziuk scored a goal each.

The next round will be the last for Shakhtar women's team this calendar year. On November 14, Roman Zaiev's women will receive Kharkiv-based Persha Stolytsia.
