The Miners continue pre-season training camp in Slovenia
On August 13, the team had a busy day.
Evening was started with anthropometric measurements, and then everyone went onto the pitch where they had an intensive training. Session was started from warming-up and then forward and full-back situations in 3 in 2 format were practiced. Also the team exercised for transition from defense. We want to point out that all footballers including Lassina Traore trained in general group.
Evening training session was started with handball game, then attention was paid to combination exercises and work on attack finish. The final phase included a small-sided game. Head coach of the Miners Igor Jovicevic was obviously satisfied with the team today repeatedly saying: “Yes, this is a good football!”
Shakhtar will play two charity matches of the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace against Saudi Al-Fateh on August 15. Kickoff is at 12:00 and 19:00 Kyiv time.
Proceeds from the sale of tickets and advertising will be used to purchase everything necessary for the defenders of Ukraine, Ukrainian citizens and children affected by the war. A total of UAH 13.2 million has been raised through the 5 charity matches played in the spring.
We want to remind that from February 24 to August 1, SCM businesses, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and FC Shakhtar have granted UAH 3 billion or about USD 100 million to help Ukraine and Ukrainians, with the amount increasing daily. Humanitarian aid has already reached over 11 million people throughout the country.
