The Miners met with children from the Shelter Centre in Lviv
The FC Shakhtar Academy held a joint event together with Shakhtar Shelter Centre as a part of the social project implementation of the UEFA Youth League. Players of the youth team of the Orange-and-Blacks Denys Barchenko, Andrii Buleza, Marian Bats, Oleksandr Bashmarin, Vasyl Bundash and Danylo Savin invited children and all shelter guests attracted to football to the training session held at the Rukh base in Vynnyky.
Fun relay races and a friendly with participation of Shakhtar U19 players, who recently qualified for the UEFA Youth League, were organized for the children.
Denys Barchenko, Shakhtar U19 goalkeeper:
– We conducted a charity tournament and entertaining competitions for the kids. It was interesting for us and I think they enjoyed it too. We tried to give them positive emotions and good mood. I hope that children liked to play football and they will continue to do it.
After the end of the training session, the players presented children with EUR 500 football equipment which will help them to organise sessions at Shakhtar’s Shelter Centre at the Arena Lviv.
