Shakhtar defender Viktor Korniienko speaks about his return from vacation and the medical
- I didn't see anyone because I was the first to arrive. I want to get undergo the medical as soon as possible. I had blood and urine samples taken, they also checked my heart and so on.
- How did you rest this winter? Where have you been?
- The vacation was eventful. I flew with my family and friends to vacation in the Dominican Republic, then I visited my homeplace in Poltava and went to Mariupol to see my coach... That is, I was travelling places and didn’t sit at home.
- Have you approached the year 2022 with renewed vigour?
- Of course! We do like this every year: we have some rest and get back to action with renewed vigour. We will remember all our set pieces, get fit and try to continue topping the league table.
