Shakhtar Social won the UEFA grant

The foundation will use the funds for organization of training for children in Ukraine
Shakhtar Social Foundation became the winner of the UEFA Foundation for Children programme and will receive the grant for development of grassroots children’s football projects. Over 600 boys and girls in 8 Ukrainian cities including the de-occupied territories will be able to play football thanks to this grant.
Inna Khmyzova, Director of Shakhtar Social:
– Children shall have their childhood even during the war. Therefore, we continue to work on the things we can do: we organize regular football training sessions for boys and girls. Our task is to ensure that children do not think of war during training, but do what they should normally do. They should play sports, enjoy the process, cheer about goals and meet with friends.
Start of the programme is scheduled for March 2023; it is intended to last one year. List of cities participating in the projects and dates will be announced additionally.
We remind that Shakhtar Social organizes regular training sessions for approximately 1,400 children in 19 Ukrainian cities as a part of Come On, Let’s Play! project with support of DTEK, UEFA Foundation for Children and ECA.
