Shakhtar defeated Dynamo in the Women’s Championship round 10 centrepiece game

Tetiana Vyshnevska returned to the starting line-up after her absence in the match against Veres and Oleksandra Krevska came on in the holding area instead of Lidiia Zaborovets.

Half full of struggle

Both teams started with active pressing immediately after receiving the ball from the opening minutes. Although, the hosts looked more active, especially Vykaliuk and Kozub on the right flank, who kept Dynamo defence busy with continuous crosses. Mokhnach had the most threatening chance when Lyubov carried out a low cross after Veherych’s pass, but missed. The most interesting moment of Piatenko’s side is Prokopenko’s attempt (Mostova played confidently). The teams left for a break with a tied score.

2 minutes – 2 goals

We saw a continuation of the match scenario in the second half, but at the beginning, Dynamo players wasted their excellent moments after Mostova’s mistakes. In the first case, the goalkeeper misdirected a pass to Henyk and Druzhchenko almost used this mistake already in own box. However, Inha saved the team by pulling the ball from under the crossbar after Slovak’s attempt. Shakhtar responded with two goals within two minutes: at first Holovach scored after Mokhnach’s cross from the flank, and a minute after, Molodiuk swiftly converted a one-on-one situation. After two conceded goals, Dynamo became more active, but the visitors managed only to score a consolation goal (Dolbina made it in the stoppage time).

Shakhtar win the derby and secure the third spot in the table, with Viktoriia Holovach scoring in the fourth match in a row.

Roman Zaiev’s team face Kolos away in the closing match of the year.
