Shakhtar got the first win in the Vyshcha League
Roman Zaiev made two substitutions after the match against Vorskla: Zaborovets and Manziuk were taken to the starting eleven instead of Molodiuk and Starukhina, and Veherych moved from a forward position to the field centre. Astakhova and Chendei made their debut in the team.
Manziuk’s history-making goal
Shakhtar created few opportunities at the beginning of the match after a corner kick: the defender blocked Henyk’s attempt, then Manziuk couldn’t make an accented attempt from advantageous position. However, Manziuk finished attack after Mokhnach’s pass in the 14th minute scoring the first goal for Shakhtar in the Vyshcha League. The hosts responded with a set piece and dangerous header from Apollonina, but Mostova saved. In the 30th minute, Mokhnach had the opportunity to double the score after a right-wing combination and Ladomyr goalkeeper dealt with the powerful shot. The hosts took a corner during one of the attacks at the end of the half and Hiryn equalized with direct shot making it 1-1.
Victory at the end
Zaiev’s team effectually started the second half: Vykaliuk ran through the half of the field at speed and made an accurate attempt into the bottom corner of Hadada’s goal. Shakhtar could have increased their advantage at once: Holovach pressed the opponent in the field centre, started a quick attack and released Manziuk one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but the forward couldn’t outplay her. Ladomyr equalized at the first suitable opportunity after Nevar’s shot from outside the penalty area. But Shakhtar managed to score the third goal in the 87th minute and earned a victory. Natalia Chendei scored her debut goal in the first game (again Mokhnach’s assist).
Shakhtar bag a comfortable win over Ladomyr and get the first points in the Vyshcha League. The team will meet with Kryvbas in the next round at home.
