Shakhtar players prepare for important matches of the Ukraine national teams

Group leaders

Ukraine national team started preparation for the UEFA Nations League matches on September 16 in Warsaw.

The team will play 3 tournament matches this week: away match in Glasgow against Scotland on September 21 (21:45), away match in Yerevan against Armenia on September 24 (16:00) and home match in Krakow against Scotland on September 27 (21:45).

8 players of the national team will represent Shakhtar: Mykola Matviienko, Sergii Kryvtsov, Valerii Bondar, Bohdan Mykhailichenko, Taras Stepanenko, Oleksandr Zubkov, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Anatolii Trubin, who has been additionally capped by the main team of the country.

Oleksandr Petrakov’s team received 7 points after 3 round and is a leader of Group 1 in League B.

Ukraine U21 play-offs

On September 16, Ruslan Rotan’s team also began the training camp in Bielsko-Biała (Poland). They are second in Euro 2023 qualifying group. The youth team will continue their way to play-off so far.

Two-match encounter with Slovakia national team is waiting for Ukraine: away game on September 23 (Zilina, 19:00) and home game on September 27 (Bielsko-Biała, 18:30).

5 Shakhtar players will compete for right to advance to the knockout stage together with the national team: Artem Bondarenko, Heorhii Sudakov, Oleh Ocheretko, Dmytro Kryskiv, and Danylo Sikan.
